Pagcor Revokes Sun Valley Clark Permit Over Illegal Activities

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) has taken away the permit of Sun Valley Clark, citing the use of its facilities for unlawful activities.

Alejandro Tengco, Pagcor’s head and chief executive, stated that Sun Valley Clark Center, situated in the Clark Freeport Zone, no longer meets licensing standards. Tengco highlighted that the operator “is no longer suitable to maintain its temporary authorization, nor to acquire full authorization as an offshore gaming center, as it has failed to guarantee that its occupants at the registered location conduct offshore gaming in a legal and organized manner.”

Pagcor announced on May 4 that a search operation was conducted at the Sun Valley property following the discovery of numerous serious offenses linked to CGC, including digital currency investment frauds, unlawful confinement, and human trafficking. Two of the six structures occupied by CGC were within Pagcor’s licensing range.

Previously, the permit of CGC Technologies (which occupied six buildings at the Sun Valley Center) was withdrawn last week following inquiries that revealed the company’s involvement in illegal operations.

Pagcor revoked the license of Sun Valley Clark. Tengco cautioned operators against engaging in any criminal acts, stating that their permits will be withdrawn.

This serves as a notification to all our offshore gaming licensees and accredited service providers that the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation will rigorously enforce its duty to guarantee accountable and controlled gaming within the nation. Tenco stated.

“Although we acknowledge the potential of offshore gaming for revenue generation, we will not condone any unlawful activity that infringes upon the rights of Filipinos and individuals of other nationalities.”
