Churchill Downs is relinquishing control of the Lady Luck Nemacolin gambling establishment in Pennsylvania. In essence, Churchill Downs divested everything to Woodlands Fayette for a symbolic sum.
This transition is immediate, and all the staff members at Lady Luck Nemacolin have been extended positions with Woodlands Fayette.
This action comes as Churchill Downs concentrates its endeavors on a substantial expansion endeavor in Kentucky. They recently procured land adjacent to their Ellis Park racing venue with intentions to construct a considerable entertainment center featuring vintage racing machines. This will be a massive enhancement to Ellis Park, which Churchill Downs obtained in 2022 for $79 million. They perceive significant promise in Ellis Park, given its century-old legacy as a center for equine racing in Kentucky.
