Catena Media Acquires gg.co.uk in Strategic Expansion Move

A prominent online marketing firm headquartered in Malta, Catena Media, recently acquired the UK-based horse racing platform, gg.co.uk. The purchase price is a substantial $2.79 million upfront, demonstrating Catena’s dedication to broadening its market presence.

gg.co.uk aligns seamlessly with Catena’s strategic objectives – they are renowned for their robust search engine optimization (SEO) capabilities and possess a diverse array of products and services that will integrate effortlessly into Catena’s existing offerings.

The initial disbursement will be a straightforward, lump-sum payment, with the complete assimilation of gg.co.uk anticipated by June 2018. This is not a minor transaction by any means – gg.co.uk is already generating $209,000 in quarterly revenue. This strategic move solidifies Catena’s position within the UK market, particularly following their earlier acquisition of BettingPro.com.

Catena Media’s CEO, Henrik Persson Ekdahl, expressed his enthusiasm, emphasizing that this acquisition aligns perfectly with their proactive expansion strategy and their commitment to capitalizing on emerging digital prospects. He recognizes significant potential in gg.co.uk and believes Catena is the ideal collaborator to facilitate their ascent to greater heights.

This marks Catena Media’s fifth acquisition in the current year alone. Their assertive approach is well-established, as evidenced by their ten acquisitions in 2017, a key driver behind their remarkable 69% revenue surge that year.
