This fresh accord, commencing on January 1st, 2024, underscores the dedication of both Ascot and the Tote to expanding the UK horse racing betting market. Every wager placed on Ascot races, whether in person or digitally, will contribute to the UK pool’s liquidity, advantageous to racing enthusiasts through more consistent odds and potentially larger winnings.
Since aligning with World Pool in 2020, Ascot has witnessed a tripling of off-track betting from British and Irish patrons, while international wagering has surged by 22%. Ascot entered World Pool in 2019, initiating with the esteemed Royal Ascot gathering. The triumph of Royal Ascot, drawing Tote operators from 28 nations, showcased World Pool’s capacity to generate heightened revenue and global fascination with British racing.
