Among the charities poised to gain from the “British Champions Day” contributions are Ascot Racecourse Supports, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Holocaust Educational Trust, SAS Regimental Association, SportsAid, and Together for Looking After Children.
The cumulative amount gathered last year stood at £1.2 million; should the bookmakers not generate a profit at this year’s event, they will collectively contribute £250,000 to be distributed evenly among the previously mentioned charities.
