BetMGM Steps Up to the Oche as New Sponsor of Premier League Darts

BetMGM has taken the lead as the primary backer of the Premier League Darts.

This thrilling announcement follows closely on the heels of an exhilarating finish to the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship backed by Paddy Power, where Luke Humphries and Luke Littler went head-to-head in the championship match last night. The Premier League is set to reveal its own lineup of darts superstars later today.

Already a prominent name in the realm of athletic sponsorships with collaborations that encompass Premier League football teams Manchester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Newcastle United, BetMGM is now hitting the mark in the sport of darts.

The BetMGM Premier League, showcasing a group of eight top-ranked competitors, will occur from February to May, boasting a massive £1 million ($1.3 million) prize fund. The leading four players will progress to the postseason at the season’s conclusion.

“The Premier League will garner immense attention throughout four months of competition, both with our unprecedented crowds and worldwide television viewership, and we are thrilled to have BetMGM onboard as our new title sponsor,” stated PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter.

“This is a monumental year for the Premier League as we commemorate its 20th anniversary, and the tournament continues to flourish following the remarkable caliber we’ve witnessed across the PDC circuit over the past 12 months.”

“As we enter our third year of the eight-player, nightly structure, we are very enthusiastic to be collaborating with BetMGM to further expand this esteemed event,” Porter added.

BetMGM UKs top dog, Sam Behar, is thrilled about their recent collaboration with the Premier League Darts. He believes the competition offers first-rate amusement and is eager to witness both BetMGM and the PDC achieve great success in 2024.
