XLMedia Appoints David King as New CEO

XLMedia has designated seasoned media leader, David King, as their incoming Chief Executive Officer. King, who will also integrate with the board of directors, possesses extensive expertise from his prior positions, notably a prosperous period as Chief Executive Officer of JPIMedia Group where he spearheaded a significant company overhaul.

King’s selection follows Stuart Simms’s decision to step down after declaring his exit earlier this year. Simms will remain briefly to guarantee a seamless handover.

King’s notable background encompasses leadership roles at prominent entities like Time Out and BBC Worldwide, where he functioned as Chief Financial Officer for nine years. His robust financial acumen, including his accounting credentials and tenure at PwC, will be indispensable as XLMedia pursues its subsequent growth stage.

King conveyed his enthusiasm to join XLMedia and collaborate with the staff to realize the company’s strategic objectives.

The non-executive chairman of XLMedias, Marcus Rich, conveyed his enthusiasm regarding David’s addition to the company. He is confident that David’s vast background in online publishing and his demonstrated history of effective overhauls will be essential as XLMedia seeks its ambitious expansion goals.

Rich also emphasized David’s profound knowledge of the media sector, noting that it positions him as the perfect leader for the organization. The board of directors echoes Rich’s eagerness and anticipates working alongside David.
